Meet the Creator of The Landlord Liaisons
Sara McGraw-Abdalla is a Virginia native that relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in August of 2017. Although she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising, Sara entered the world of property management shortly after graduation.
Sara is passionate about business and people-she has always been able to connect the two through genuine relationships as she believes relationships are principle foundation in business. Sara's decade career in the Housing Industry started with Berkshire Property Advisors where she was a leasing agent at a property in downtown Newport News, Virginia. Her career includes Military Housing at Fort Belvoir Virginia, Property manager at a Senior 55+ property in Richmond Virginia to working as a Housing Specialist for the Homeless with Virginia Supportive Housing. After moving to Phoenix, Sara had a contract position with the City of Phoenix Housing Voucher Program before starting her consulting business, The Landlord Liaisons.
The Landlord Liaisons was birthed from recurring theme : miscommunication between Landlords and Housing Authorities and lack of education on how the Housing Voucher program worked and landlord/tenant rights.
This often lead to frustrated Landlords dropping the program, discouraged new landlords from the voucher program, and ultimately tenants becoming homeless almost immediately. There were more tenants needing homes than there were landlords providing homes.
It was then that Sara decided to be change that she had been seeking while working in this industry. She wanted to educate and empower landlords so that they could be leaders in their industry and make an impact in their community.
The Landlord Liaisons mission is to educate and empower Landlords with the proven tools to be successful in the Housing Industry, and be a positive impact in their community and to the tenants that they serve.
